Being Better Neighbors was started to support our Erie neighbors of color and to create a place for civil discourse and the creation of activities to bring awareness to issues facing people of color and other marginalized communities.
Being Better Neighbors is about establishing a welcoming, inclusive and engaged community through Advocacy & Civic Engagement, Youth Outreach, Community Policing and Cultural Events.
Your contribution will enable us to support our good work throughout our community. We are very grateful for your generosity.
Juneteenth is a celebration of emancipation, in recognition of June 19, 1865, when the word of emancipation finally reached the last remaining slaves in Texas, 2.5 YEARS after the emancipation proclamation became official on January 1, 1863.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
